Before putting your jeans in the washing machine drum and running the first program that comes to your mind, remember that denim is a fabric that tends to lose color. Surely a quality denim will have a longer life, but thanks to these tips it will last even more:

  1. Always remember to turn the jeans upside down so that color and shape are preserved.
  2. Don’t mix colors! Wash only the same color together, and avoid shirts, especially light-colored ones.
  3. Never wash more than 30 °C, even better if you use cold water, and with delicate or ecological detergents that help preserve the fibers of the denim fabric. These kind of detergents are suitable for colored garments and they are perfect because they don’t contain bleach.

Never put your jeans in the dryer unless you intend to shrink them! The ideal would be to lay them on a dry surface in the open air after beating them vigorously and without using clothespins.
